Polite Puppies 

Bring yourself and your puppy into our facility where we will show you how to play, train and socialize your puppy in a group setting where they will get socialization to other pups, people and unique objects.

This is a 6-week class, 45 mins each week where we will be working on focus, socialization, handling, mouthing/jumping, basic manners and obedience and more!

Good Dogs Have More Fun

It is no secret that well behaved dogs truly do have more fun because they get to go places and do lots of things with you that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to. This is a fun and positive reward based dog training class focusing on basic foundation (manners) behaviours, focused attention and building a great relationship between you and your dog. Perfect for a follow-up to puppy class, for newly adopted dogs and owners or for those who want to brush up on their skills in the distraction of a class based setting. Puppy, Welcome Home

This is a particularly challenging time for new puppy owners. We're here to set you and your puppy for success! We are currently offering in-home options (where appropriate). We will also email you a comprehensive set of handouts ahead of time for you to review and to use for future reference! This 1.5 hour private session is $175 including GST.

More Group Training Classes

REACTIVE RESCUE

Does your dog lunge at other dogs or strangers when he’s on or off leash? Does he have trouble coping in new environments? Are you afraid to take him on walks because you’re not sure what he might do? This class is designed for dogs who have reactivity or aggression issues. Understand the underlying causes of your dog’s behaviour, and learn how to build confidence in both of you. Using positive training techniques and proper management, teach your dog appropriate behaviours so that you can both feel safe and confident in the changing environments of everyday life. Class is six weeks long, 1.5 hours each week. Price includes GST.

BRAIN GAMES

Mental stimulation is so important for your dog's behavioural well-being! This fun and engaging class will challenge your dog's thinking and problem solving abilities while further strengthening the human canine bond with you. Each week will provide new games and activities incorporating ideas that you can then take home and build upon. Don't miss this opportunity to engage in fun learning activities that you can then incorporate into your dog's every day life! Price includes GST.

TAILS ON THE TRAILS

"But he can do it at home…" This is a common complaint from many dog owners as their dogs can do anything when they're inside but are challenging when faced with the great outdoors. Take the manners and obedience skills you learned in Good Dogs Have More Fun and push the limits working in high distraction outdoor environments while having a ton of fun with your dog. We'll show you what motivates your dog, how to set him up for success and how to turn training into play for both of you! This class is four weeks long, one hour each week. Price includes GST.

Puppy, Welcome Home! $175

This 1.5 hour program is designed to get you and your family off on the 'right paw' with your new puppy. It's important to be as consistent as possible with training and raising of your puppy as well as getting him all the appropriate socialization he needs. Set him up for success so he can grow into a great adult dog. The program consists of one in-home session and reference handouts. We will cover:


Focus and name attention  |  management, crate training and puppy proofing your house  |  how to reinforce great behaviours so you get them more often  |  intro to basic manners and obedience  |  the importance of socialization for your puppy's well-being  |  potty training  |  physical and mental exercise  |  mouthing and biting  |  kids and puppies  |  stop jumping


Private Training for Behaviour Issues $240/$160

Does your dog bark and lunge at the sight of other dogs or people? Does he growl if you come near his food bowl? Is he overly anxious in new situations? These are just a few of the behaviour challenges we see on a regular basis and are fully equipped and experienced to help you with. Using positive techniques and giving you strategies to help your dog make better behaviour choices, we'll help you understand what to do in any given situation while both you and your dog gain confidence and experience successes together. Initial session 1.5 hours. Follow ups are 1 hour each.

Would  you rather work in your own home with sessions to suit your schedule? Get the whole family involved so you can offer your dog consistent training and management allowing everyone to succeed. This program covers manners and basic pet dog obedience in the privacy of your own home rather than going to a group class. Name attention, focus, loose leash walking and recall are just a few of the skills we'll cover. Initial session is 1.5 hours and follow up sessions are 1 hour each.
